Kyungdong University Department of Physical Therapy Signs MOU with Rehabilitation Equipment Patent Company Marpe Co., Ltd.
[Sisun News] On the 29th, Kyungdong University (President Jeon Seong-yong) Department of Physical Therapy’s Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy Research Team hosted a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with rehabilitation equipment patent company Marpe Co., Ltd. The event took place at Seondeok Hall, Wonju Munmak Medical Campus, with students and staff in attendance.
Through this agreement, the Department of Physical Therapy at Kyungdong University will have opportunities to participate in various physical therapy-related projects aligned with the medical device industry base in Wonju City.
Professor Kim Taek-yeon, head of Marpe’s academic research team, stated, “The core goal pursued through this MOU is to promote national projects by leveraging the synergy of industry-academia collaboration. The objective is to develop a new concept medical system that meets the real needs of patients. We agreed to cooperate on related academic research and participate in domestic startup business planning, projects linked with overseas universities, and pure academic exchanges aimed at student advancement.”
Kim Myung-jun, Head of the Department of Medical and Health Sciences, added, “Since Wonju Munmak Medical Campus is dedicated to nurturing medical and health talents intensively, there are many new projects that the Department of Physical Therapy must build. Taking this MOU as a starting point, we will continue these projects annually and expand them within the Wonju regional capacity.”
Meanwhile, the Department of Physical Therapy at Kyungdong University achieved a 100% national licensing exam pass rate for its graduates in both 2014 and 2015.
