The Future of Gait Rehabilitation Featuring AI, Robotics, and Wearable Technology to Be Showcased at KIMES 2025
[Korea E&EX – Medigate News Joint Preview of KIMES 2025] ④ From Hospitals to Homes: An Overview of Rehabilitation Robots and AI Solutions
Among the exhibitors, Marpe (Booth A610) will showcase its “Gait Training System (GTS),” a body weight support system composed of walking rails, gait devices, and suits. GTS is developed based on the “Slining System” and enables gait training and progressive circuit training.
GTS is available in several configurations:
-
GTS-Basic (straight-line type)
-
GTS-Advanced (rectangular loop type)
-
GTS-Crossway (H-shaped)
-
GTS-Circuit (bi-directional loop system)
In particular, the GTS-Advanced model is designed with an automatic turning control (TTC) system in the corners and a manual turning system (TTS) in the center rail, enhancing spatial efficiency. The GTS-Crossway can be installed in hallways to simulate obstacle navigation and avoidance of oncoming pedestrians.
This system is widely used in hospitals and rehabilitation centers to help elderly individuals, rehabilitation patients, and people with disabilities improve their functional Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Elderly and neurologically impaired patients often suffer from reduced balance due to muscle weakness and nervous system dysfunction. GTS provides body support to reduce joint stress and prevent injury during movement, while also promoting correct posture and improving alignment.
The system allows for simultaneous use by multiple users and supports independent and stable walking, thereby reducing the physical burden on therapists.
Marpe stated, “All Marpe products are developed based on scientific evidence supported by domestic and international research papers. We are committed to maximizing product usability for our customers.”
