South Korean rehabilitation equipment company Marpe Co., Ltd. (CEO Taekyeon Kim) recently participated in the ‘KIHE 2025 (Kazakhstan International Healthcare Exhibition)’ held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where it showcased its core product, the FTS (Functional Training System), and began its efforts to enter the local medical market.

KIHE is the largest international medical exhibition in Central Asia. Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the event hosted over 300 companies from more than 20 countries and welcomed more than 6,000 healthcare professionals.
The exhibition aims to promote advanced medical technologies and equipment, while also expanding international cooperation and industrial networks in the healthcare sector.
Marpe participated in the exhibition together with ASPASIA Ltd., a local medical equipment distributor in Kazakhstan, and unveiled its FTS (Functional Training System) for the first time. The system attracted significant interest from visitors and medical professionals.
The FTS is a new concept rehabilitation system that integrates sling exercise, gait training, and posture correction training. It is characterized by its space-efficient design and the ability to provide diverse rehabilitation programs for patients with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders.
In particular, its modular installation makes it suitable for various settings such as hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers based in fitness facilities, making it a product designed for global export.
CEO Taekyeon Kim stated,
“It was meaningful to introduce Marpe’s technological capabilities and expertise to the Central Asian medical market through this KIHE exhibition.” He added,
“With the help of our partner ASPASIA, we plan to actively promote the market entry of FTS and other major product lines through localized strategies.”
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan is currently focusing on expanding its public healthcare infrastructure and advancing its rehabilitation medical systems, strengthening its role as a major export hub within Central Asia.
Starting with its participation in KIHE, Marpe plans to expand cooperation with Kazakhstan and neighboring countries, further solidifying its position as a global rehabilitation solutions company.
